How it works: Nilotica is a type of Shea Nut, grown in and around the East African Regions. Superior in quality and texture, Nilotica is nicknamed ‘luxury shea butter’ due to its soft and buttery feel. It has a lower melting temperature, making it smoother and easier to spread. Its luxurious application makes it an ideal option for those who may prefer a moisturizing alternative to our blended Body Butters.

Usage: Organic East African Shea Butter has a higher concentration of oleic acid. Oleic acid is what gives shea butter it’s smooth feel. It’s also what gives it it’s moisturizing abilities. It may prevent stretch marks, dry cracked skin and premature aging. Rich in antioxidants and Vitamin E, which can soothe eczema and various forms of dermatitis. Also encourages healing of wounds, sunburn and other skin ailments.

Directions for use: Smooth all over body, taking extra care with dry areas. Repeat as needed. Apply less than you think you need and you will be surprised at how far a small amount will go. Regular use will result in healthier, softer skin.

Best moisturizer I've never heard of

I am an avid self care advocate, and have tried almost every luxury moisturizer known to man. Someone recommended East African Shea Butter to me and told me that A Spirit of Joy has the best quality in the market. This moisturizer changed my life and the chronic dry patches that I get year round! It is the silkiest, simplest, most luxurious feeling, truly unscented (typical shea butter has a very strong scent) product I've ever experienced! You can use a small amount and it covers a lot of skin. I did try this product from 2 other companies, but they weren't as smooth and moisturizing as this one. I had trouble with my credit card processing and the person who answered the phone was the nicest lady, and she helped talk me through it. Customer service is a 10! Turnaround time was fantastic! And I will never not order this butter!

I just received my shipment yesterday and I could not WAIT to try it.
Shipping was prompt and packaging was secure.
This product comes in a glass container that has a simplistic yet elegant appearance. I like the owners philosophy of not using plastic containers to avoid the leeching of various toxins that occurs when products are stored in plastic containers.
I am amazed at how luxurious this feels!!!! It truly has a silky buttery consistency and application is effortless. I have never used this type of Shea Butter before and moving forward it will be the only one I will ever use.
What a wonderful way to conclude an at home Spa Day - hot shower/bath followed by massaging this rich moisturizer into my skin.
